  “The library is overcharging for items that are overdue. Although those who check out anything from the library are responsible to return items it is taking advantage of those who are not able to return items on time. One dollar per day may seem like a little but it accumulates and fines can reach a great amount even if the items are only a day or two late. This has been the only library which I know of that charges too much for a day anything is overdue.”

  “I have been going to this library since I was a little kid. I now take my children, its been a few months since I've been \nthere. They now have self check outs and if there's a line the refuse to help people (by checking them out). I was just there today and there was a lady that had asked a question and said she was ready to check out and she said you can check yourself self out over there. It's almost now like they don't want to help anyone anymore. Today was the last day for the summer reading program, and I took my children in so they could turn their paper in. The lady that was at the table would have rathered keep her nose in her book then to check their paper. She checked them off and said get your book and right back to her book. I said Thank You and she never said anything back. I am looking for another library to go to. Some people don't like self checkouts and people don't like to have to wait in line either. It wouldn't be bad if the staff would be willing to help check people out (if there was a line)instaed of sitting on their butts watching you check yourself out.”

  “The main branch of Phoenix Public Library moved to 1221 N. Central Ave. about ten years ago--2 blocks from your old incorrect address. It is still a great library, however.”
