Smathers Library (also known as Library East) is the oldest library on the University of Florida campus. It is located at the northeast corner of the Plaza of the Americas and is currently the home of the following George A. Smathers Libraries’ departments, units and services: • Acquisitions Department – Located on the 4th Floor • Cataloging and Discovery Services – Located on the 4th Floor • Latin American and Caribbean Collection – Located on the 3rd Floor • Map and Imagery Library – Located on the 1st Floor • Special & Area Studies Collections – 2nd Floor Grand Reading Room
