About
The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML) is a global nonprofit organization whose mission is mission is to preserve and share the world’s handwritten past to inspire a deeper understanding of our present and future. To do this, HMML photographs, catalogs, and provides free access to collections of manuscripts located in libraries around the world. HMML places a special priority on manuscripts located in regions endangered by war, political instability, or other threats. Since HMML’s founding in 1964, approximately 450,000 manuscripts have been photographed in partnership with more than 800 libraries worldwide. View the manuscripts in Reading Room (vhmml.org).
