Spiva Library is the major information provider on campus, with access to over one million research items in a variety of collections and formats, including print books and journals; e-books, e-journals, and databases; multi-media; and microforms. Collections housed in the Archives and Special Collections Department include the Congressional Papers of Gene Taylor; physical and digitized Tri-State mining maps and drill logs; the papers of Dr. Arrell Gibson, a noted Western historian; and university archival material. The library is a selective federal depository of government documents.
