About
The 53rd Street branch of The New York Public Library, opened in June 2016, is a bright, inviting oasis of books and learning in the center of Midtown Manhattan. The 53rd Street Library was designed by award-winning architects at TEN Arquitectos. The branch is just steps away from The Museum of Modern Art, creating the opportunity for collaborative programs, events, and educational opportunities between the two spaces. Our collection includes large-print, paperbacks, and popular fiction; nonfiction for adults, teens, and children; and DVDs and CDs. The 53rd Street Library also provides computers, including laptops. The branch also features state-of- the-art program spaces for up to 120 occupants, plus a Children’s Room and Teen Zone.
