The Port Washington Public Library has been serving the community since 1892 when it was housed in a local family’s front parlor. Today we are a modern service-oriented institution. There is no charge for school district residents to join. Your library card entitles you to borrow materials from any public library in Nassau County. In addition to our collection of books and other materials, the library hosts events for all ages, as well as spaces for those looking to study or work, and a public computing center.
