About
Recharge an electronic device and yourself on the edge of the historic Main Street in Baker City at Baker County Public Library, the flagship of a 6-branch Baker County Library District (BCLD) which serves a population of around 17,000. BCLD was Finalist for a Best Small Library in America award from Library Journal in 2010. It maintains the largest public library collection in the Sage Library System consortium with about 135,000 items. At all hours, free public Wi-Fi and a solar charging station are available in the north parking lot. Inside, enjoy the scenic Reading Room overlooking the Powder River and city park. Visitors are welcome to use in-library services and shop for gently used items in the Friends of the Library bookshop.
