The University of the Arts University Libraries was a private library serving the UArts community located on the Avenue of the Arts in the heart of vibrant Center City Philadelphia. Albert M. Greenfield Library contained one of the finer art and design school libraries in the country, dating back to 1876 when the College of Art and Design was founded as the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art. It also housed the vast music collections, originating with the founding of the School of Music as the Philadelphia Musical Academy in 1870.
