The purpose of the Elgin Public Library is to improve the quality of life in the Elgin community by providing accessible information to meet the personal, academic, and recreational needs of the community. The library provides books, audiobooks, videos, music CD’s, large type, downloadable e-books and downloadable audiobooks for all ages. Services include computers, free wi-fi, faxing, scanning, and copies. A variety of free programming is available for ALL AGES throughout the year with Literary and Cultural Events put on by the Friends of the Elgin Library.
